NCPOR fondly bids farewell to Dr Shailesh Pednekar, Scientist-E, as he superannuates after over two decades of dedicated service. With a Ph.D. in Information Science from Chiba University, Japan, and strong foundations in Marine Sciences, Physics, and Mathematics, Dr. Pednekar blended academic brilliance with exceptional field expertise.
Since joining NCPOR in 2004 as a Research Associate, his journey from Scientist-B to Scientist-E stands as a testament to his perseverance, leadership, and remarkable contributions to advancing India’s polar and ocean research.
NCPOR thanks him for his invaluable role in shaping NCPOR’s scientific programmes and wishes him the very best for this new chapter of life. His legacy will continue to inspire generations of researchers.
