Beach cleaning programme on World Oceans Day

On the eve of World Oceans Day, June 8, 2023, a beach cleaning programme was held at Baina Beach. The National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR) organised this programme. This programme drew more than 80 participants from the NCPOR and the Baina - Govt Higher Secondary School in Baina, Vasco.

Honourable Shri Krishna Salkar, MLA, Vasco, Goa, inaugurated the programme and also addressed the audience. Dr. N. Anilkumar, Scientist G and Director-In-Charge briefed the audience on World Ocean Day. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from Shri V. S. Samy, Scientist F.
