Arctic Circle 2025: India at the Global Polar Front

Dr. Thamban Meloth, Director of the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), India, was an invited speaker at the Plenary Session on The New Emirates Polar Program—a landmark event organised by the Emirates Polar Program (EPP). In his address, Dr. Meloth highlighted the achievements of the Indian Polar Program and emphasized how collaborative efforts between MoES-NCPOR and EPP could be mutually beneficial. He noted that including non-polar countries in polar research initiatives is a welcome and timely step, creating new opportunities and global partnerships for addressing polar challenges.
