NCPOR had the privilege of hosting an engaging talk by Ramcharan Vijayaraghavan titled “Stories on Ice: A Visual Journey through the Arctic, Antarctic and the Third Pole.” Through breathtaking visuals, compelling narratives, and firsthand experiences from some of the world's most remote and fragile environments, the session offered participants a unique cinematic glimpse into the polar regions and high mountain ecosystems.

The talk also highlighted the critical role of polar education, science communication, and public outreach in building awareness about climate change and the importance of the cryosphere. As the global scientific community prepares for the 5th International Polar Year, Mr Ramcharan highlighted the need to inspire greater public engagement and empower the next generation of polar researchers, explorers, and informed citizens.
