The National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research (NCAOR) an autonomous research institute under Ministry of Earth Sciences is hosting the 52nd Annual Convention of Indian Geophysical Union (IGU) during Nov 3-5, 2015. More than 300 scientists/delegates and young students from various parts of the country are taking part. The theme of this year’s convention is NEAR SURFACE EARTH SYSTEM SCIENCES.
Three days long scientific deliberations will be inaugurated on 3rd Nov 2015 at NCAOR auditorium. Mr. A K Dwidei, Director (exploration), ONGC India limited will be the chief guest during the inaugural function. Dr. Shailesh Nayak, former Secretary, MoES and President of IGU will preside over the function where Dr. S W A Naqvi, Director, NIO will be the Guest of Honour. Dr. M Ravichandran, Director, NCAOR is the Chairman of Local Organising Committee.
