As called for in the 1992 Rio Declaration, a balance has to be maintained among economic, social and environmental needs, so that our present and future generations may continue to get resources.

The theme for the year 2017 is "Environmental & Climate Literacy".

Educating people about climate change and environment is the first and foremost step in a mission towards environment conservation. Environment conservation is the duty of one and all, to protect the mother earth the elixir of life and sustenance.

Environment and climate literacy among community at large leads to inspires actions thus paving a way to more use of greener technology. Do celebrate Earth Day by saving electricity, fuel consumption, plant trees, and spread awareness about environment and climate.
