NCPOR hosted Prof. Nuno Ferrand, Director of the Research Center in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources (CIBIO), University of Porto, Portugal, and Prof. Vladimiro Miranda, Associate Director of Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC), Portugal, on 20th November 2024. The delegation had a meeting with Dr. Thamban Meloth, Director-NCPOR, and Group Directors of respective divisions at NCPOR to discuss ongoing research and explore future collaboration opportunities.The delegation also visited several labs at NCPOR, including the Ice Core Lab, Polar Biology Lab, and Biogeo chemistry Lab, to learn more about the institute's work. This visit marks an important step in building international partnerships for advancing polar and oceanic research.
